Aster RV has latest high end 3 tesla Philips MRI scanner machine which provides high quality images with less time as compared to competitors and 1.5 tesla MRI machines. MRI scanning of all parts of the body can be done which includes brain, spine, neck, liver, abdomen and joints with excellent image quality. Our MRI scanner is well equipped with advanced imaging techniques. The advanced imaging techniques used for brain includes MR perfusion to detect vascularity of the tumours, MR diffusion, Diffusion tractography to detect white matter tracts of brain and its abnormalities, MR spectroscopy to detect the metabolite structures of the lesions of the brain and functional MRI which can be task based to detect the activation of language areas and motor areas in the brain. All these advanced brain imaging helps us for better diagnosis. Additionally advanced imaging techniques used for the joints include cartilage mapping along with superior quality of imaging. In the patient's with renal failure we have non-contrast MR peripheral angiography which can prove beneficial for the patients with kidney diseases were contrast cannot be given. MR defecography is also one of the softwares available in our hospital to detect any abnormalities during defaecation. Fetal MRI can also be in selected patients.
